Abertay Housing Association provides a service to over 2100 owners and has two main roles:
As Owner of the communal areas of ground e.g. grassed areas, shrub beds etc in each estate (except in Kingoodie where the common ground is owned by Perth and Kinross Council).
As Factor to over 300 properties – generally tenements and multi-storey flats that have been sold. Abertay will carry out the duties of the factor for as long as there are tenants in the block. Once the block is wholly owned then owners can elect to factor their own block as long as they have a majority in favour of this.
